WhatsApp is all it takes: +34 665 164 779. If it is an entire collection or a household estate, we come to Hamburg in person and take care of everything on site — in cash, if you prefer.
The Hamburg market — and why you still don't need to go into town
Hamburg has a long tradition as a centre of the militaria trade. Helmut Weitze on Neuer Wall is one of Europe's leading specialist shops, trading since 1988 with a standing stock of over 25,000 items. Anyone who wants to hand their pieces across the counter in person will find reputable addresses in Hamburg.
Our approach is different, and for many sellers more convenient: the valuation happens at home, by photograph, without an appointment and without anyone driving across town with a box full of family heirlooms. And because we buy for our own collection — with no dealer's mark-up — we do not build a resale margin into our price.
Which pieces we are looking for
Militaria up to 1945: orders, decorations and documents, uniforms and helmets, daggers, sabres and bayonets, equipment, photo albums — and, as a speciality, military vehicles and motorcycles of the period.
In a port city like Hamburg, family estates also regularly contain maritime pieces: badges and photographs from the Imperial Navy and the Kriegsmarine (the German navy from 1935), papers and keepsakes from shipyard workers — Blohm & Voss built warships here for decades — and documents from the merchant marine. Also typically north German is the Hanseatenkreuz (Hanseatic Cross), independently instituted during the First World War by each of the three Hanseatic cities of Hamburg, Bremen and Lübeck: it turns up markedly more often in estates here than elsewhere in Germany.
No firearms, no replicas. Much of what is offered today is not original — authenticity checks are therefore a fixed part of every valuation, and we tell you plainly if a piece is a reproduction.

We would rather tell you ourselves than have you read it in the imprint: we are a Spanish collectors' house from Madrid. Our purchasing covers the whole of Germany, and on the number with the Spanish dialling code you can reach us by WhatsApp just as quickly as on a German one. For collections we cover the north in one trip: appointments in Lübeck, Kiel, Bremen, or the area around Hamburg can be combined into the same journey. Discretion goes without saying — we treat photographs showing symbols from before 1945 confidentially, since their public display is regulated under § 86a StGB. Trading in the originals themselves is legal.
Frequently asked questions
Do you also buy naval pieces?
Yes, absolutely. Badges, photographs and uniform parts from the Kriegsmarine and the merchant navy often turn up in Hamburg estates — these are exactly the pieces we are looking for. Send us photos — the valuation is free and arrives within 24 hours.
I only have a single item. Is it worth asking?
Yes. We also value single medals or a single helmet — the enquiry costs you only the two minutes it takes to photograph it.
How does picking up a collection in Hamburg work?
After the initial valuation by photograph, we arrange an appointment at your home. We review the collection, name a final price, and pay immediately. We handle packing and removal ourselves.
