Where can I sell militaria in Frankfurt?
Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main area have antique dealers and auction houses that also take in militaria — usually as one category among many, not as a specialism. It is always worth comparing prices before selling, and that is exactly what we recommend.
One peculiarity of the region: Frankfurt lost its old town in the air raids of March 1944. What surfaces today in the way of old pieces has therefore often survived the war not in the city itself, but in houses in the Taunus, the Wetterau or the Odenwald, where items were evacuated to at the time. We buy across the whole Rhine-Main area, not just within the city limits.
Our offer differs from the traditional trade in one respect: we buy for our own collection — with no dealer's mark-up. A shop has to factor in its later resale margin when it buys. We don't have to, because we keep the pieces.
What we buy in Frankfurt
Historical pieces up to 1945: medals and decorations, uniforms, helmets, Blankwaffen (edged weapons) such as sabres and daggers, documents, photo albums, equipment — right up to military vehicles and motorcycles.
Frankfurt passed to Prussia in 1866; the surrounding area had previously belonged to the Duchy of Nassau and the Grand Duchy of Hesse. Rhine-Main Nachlass estates therefore regularly contain Hessian and Nassau decorations alongside Prussian crosses — pieces that many heirs don't even recognise as militaria. Then there is the technical side: in Frankfurt, Adlerwerke built cars, motorcycles and bicycles; parts, factory papers and photos from this production interest us too.
What we do not buy: firearms and replicas. A significant share of what we're offered is reproduction — checking for originality is therefore always part of the valuation.
How the sale works
- Photos via WhatsApp to +34 665 164 779 — two minutes, no obligation.

To be upfront: we are not based in Frankfurt
We are a Spanish collector's house based in Madrid, and we buy across the whole of Germany. Distance makes no difference to the valuation — it is done from your photos. For collections and extensive Nachlass estates, we travel to Frankfurt and complete the purchase at your home, discreetly and without you having to transport anything. We combine appointments in Wiesbaden, Darmstadt, Offenbach or the Taunus into the same trip.
On the legal side: trading in original pieces from before 1945 is legal in Germany. The public display of certain symbols is restricted under § 86a StGB (Germany's Criminal Code) — which is why we treat photos containing such symbols in confidence and document the pieces strictly in private.
Frequently asked questions
What does the valuation cost?
Nothing. The WhatsApp valuation is free and non-binding — even if you decide afterwards not to sell.
Do I need to know what the pieces are worth?
No. Most enquiries come from heirs seeing the holdings for the first time. Just send photos of everything, including papers and photo albums — the value is often found where you'd least expect it.
Do you also buy complete Nachlass estates in Frankfurt?
Yes, especially those. For complete Nachlass estates we arrange an appointment in Frankfurt, view everything on site and, if you wish, pay in cash immediately.
